Absract. The article presents a psycholinguistic view on curricula for teaching Bulgarian as a second language at Bulgarian schools abroad. The goals of the teaching, its place in the overall learning process, its structure and qualities relating to the formation of the basic language skills and teaching grammar and vocabulary as procedural and declarative knowledge are assessed.
