Development of Anticorruption Education in Bulgarian Universities
Abstract. Anticorruption training is a key component in counteracting corruption, and its successful inclusion at all levels of education is becoming increasingly important. Policies for anticorruption education are becoming frequently proposed in documents in recent years, both on an international level, as well as on a national level. This article aims to explore the opportunities for developing successful strategies for anticorruption programs in Bulgarian higher education. The main policies for anticorruption education, concrete topics for developing of future educational programs, and the Anticorruption Academy initiative at the University of National and World Economy are presented.

Inequalities in the State Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria: Income, Quantity and Quality
Abstract. For a consecutive year, the National Trade Union for Higher Education and Science at the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria presents statistics from public higher education institutions.
The article focuses on the widespread inequalities in the pay for teaching and the policies of some employers (rectors), authoritatively maintaining low incomes, regardless of the signals received from the union and the series of recommendations from the Ministry of Education and Science.
Through а thorough analysis, the basic requirements for achieving the strategic goals in the sector have been identified on the deepening inequalities in the higher education system. The results presented here are grounds for a change in the current legislation – undoubtedly in support of sustainable development, focused on human capital, and above all the attitude of employers towards young teachers at public higher schools.

Abstract. This paper aims to relate the recent technological revolution 4.0 and the necessity for development of innovation in the educational institutions. In relation to the urgency for a debate on the topic this paper will have two main objectives. Firstly to focus on outlining the most widely discussed contemporary issues with the management of innovations in the sphere of education. Secondly, to investigate the necessary conditions for successful innovation in Education. The paper will refer to several policies for successful development of innovations in Bulgarian schools.

Qualification of Teachers in the Context of Today’s Challenges for the Quality оf Education
Abstract. The quality of education corresponds to the qualifications of teachers facing challenges of a permanent nature. A fact regulated by the State Educational Standard for the status and professional development of teachers, principals and other pedagogical specialists. It (the standard) creates prerequisites for enhancing the authority and social status of teachers, establishing a system of continuing qualification, for professional development and career development. These prerequisites are the answer to today‘s challenges for the quality of education.

The Preparation of PhD Students in Pedagogy: Legal Dimensions and Satisfaction (Situation of the Faculty of Pedagogy, SWU “Neofit Rilski”)
Abstract. In the requirements` context of art. 78, para. 2. and para. 3. of the Higher Education Act regarding the quality assessment of PH.D. programs in the papers are presented and analyzed results of a study of contentment of Ph.D. students from the Faculty of Pedagogy at SWU „Neofit Rilski“ on the quality of their training. The selected criteria are relevant to the development of dissertation research, the acquisition of research competencies, the interaction between Ph.D. student and supervisor and training environment. The results are analyzed by the independent variable “status” of the trained persons: “defended dissertation” and “trainees”. Perspectives that the researchers see regarding their development after the successful completion of their Ph.D. studies are indicated.

Emotional Competence of the Social Teacher

Health Culture of the Students in the Context of the Strategy of the World Health Organization for Promotion of Health
Abstract. The article highlights the complexity of the concept of health culture, based on different understandings and opinions about health. The connection and the dependence of the problem with the strategy of the World Health Organization on the promotion of health in a different social environment, and in the school. It emphasized the need for a purposeful formation of the students‘ health culture. The essence of the main factors that determine it is revealed.
