Absract. This article presents an approach for integrated inter-subject collaboration and creative use of already present digital skills of students for processing data in spreadsheets as well as their programming skills for realizing familiar algorithms from the 5th grade Computer Modeling and Information Technologies school curriculum in new context and programming environment. Six problems are presented along with their solutions, realized with the aid of the integrated programming tools in Excel. Those problems are aimed to the use of linear, branched and cyclic algorithms for automating the realization of the following activities – switching the values of two cells, finding the minimum and maximum value of three or more cells in a worksheet and ordering three or more elements by magnitude.
